Careers – Part-time Designer

JumarMarketing, LLC, an end-to-end boutique marketing company has an immediate need for an experienced and talented designer for a part-time position with the potential to grow to full-time in our Norwalk, CT office.

This position is responsible for producing visual solutions to the communication needs of our clients as well as internally, utilizing a mix of creative skills and commercial awareness. Design projects include web sites, flash design and development, email marketing and eNewsletter templates, print collateral
and advertising/promotional graphics.

• Participation in meetings with clients to discuss their design needs.
• Interpreting the clients business needs.
• Developing design briefs.
• Contributing ideas and design expertise to ongoing projects.
• Keeping abreast of developments in IT, particularly design programs.
• Working with internal and external teams.
• Coordinating with printers, copywriters, other designers, account executives, and senior management to ensure deadlines are met.

• Clean, cutting-edge design, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to deliver consistent, high-quality creative products.
• Experience in all phases of web site design including conceptualization, information architecture, wire-frames, design comps, usability, and front-end development.
• Working knowledge of back-end technologies and how they integrate into web-based applications required.
• Possess imaginative flair, awareness of current trends and the latest technologies.
• Understanding of material costs and time limits which can impact on the design.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work experience).
• A minimum of 5 years hands on design experience.
• Advanced skills in Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, In Design , HTML, CSS, Flash and JavaScript.
• Ability to design websites for Word Press is a plus.
• Strong sense of initiative and personal leadership.
